With multiple international awards and nominations to his name as well as publications in the New York times about his feature film Last Broken Darkness, Chris dos Santos is without a doubt one a South Africa’s loudest voices in film, with his work being compared to that of cinema legends Joon Ho-Bong and Zack Snyder. Ever since his graduation film AT THY CALL was selected to play at the prestigious Festival de Cannes, Chris has not stopped pushing the boundaries for South African cinema.
A citizen of Portugal and South Africa, Chris finished his first feature film at the age of 26 with a successful release in over 40 international territories with a massive return on investment, securing Chris as a bankable film director with not only vision, but a knowledge on how to make films that sell.
Having directed music videos for the likes of Prime Circle, and directed car commercials for clients such as Audi, Porsche and Lexus, Chris has shown his ability to lead a professional team to success. His real forte though, is narrative feature films, of which he has directed four.
